It is important to say first that the foundations of all of my works are built almost entirely from observing the world around me. Whether it be from direct observation, photographs, or a combination of the two.
The attempt to capture this world comes to fruition through a rigorous and constant push and pull of material on a two dimensional plain. The act of my creations is not a science and there are no number of steps involved.
As an artist, it is this process that excites me, as well as observing how the materials I use react along the way. The undercurrent of it all is the need to give my own intuitions and psychological perspectives of the world and people around me a physical existence.
